I was going to give up on it after the first episode, but a friend convinced me to watch more, saying that it took a bit to establish itself and that it picks up by episode 26. The 16th episode, Steven the Sword Fighter, was the episode that hooked me.
I also thought Avatar the Last Airbender was going to be awful. I was wrong. The animated show, not the movie.
