Because obviously no-one ever joins a fandom because they like the plots or characterisation of the show/book/film/etc or anything, right?

Now can I please see your reasoning? Personally, I'd like to see why I'm either not part of fandom or not asexual because the two are apparantly mutually exclusive now.
