Exactly. The show as most people knew it ended when Mulder left after s7 and the rest had a very different feeling. I don't see anything wrong with disliking something for the fact that it changed so radically - and not for the better (I know that's subjective, but it is the general conclusion). For seven years it rested on Mulder and Scully's relationship, and then that's gone? Well, obviously it's a different show. People are under no obligation to like something that isn't waht they liked in the first place. As far as Doggett/Reyes go, that literally made me sick. I remember watching that episode where they're flirting HEAPS (I think it's something to do with being a dog person? And there's a sausage involved? Ha, I have forgotten so much of s9) and it put me off my food. It was just repulsive and wrong and NOT THE SHOW I SIGNED UP TO WATCH. It didn't work. It definitely annoys me when people act like they're superior for liking the last two seasons. It's fine that they do, but the rest of us don't have to.
