I only hope my Honours degree might serve me so well. So far it just gets me accused of showing my Internet Penis for citing the OED. :(

It was relevant, I tellsya!

oh my god, I LOVE Wall-E. I admit it, there were tears when I first watched it.

Well, it's not so bad here...at least the curtains match!

I meant my physical face. I was implying that I would punch you. Isn't that a nice stereotypical male thing to do?

Ahh, but obvious troll is obvious now. So sorry, continue strawmanning at your leisure.

OED LOVE.

(Anonymous) 2008-07-08 04:36 am (UTC)(link)
It's still sexist.

Re: 129

[identity profile] vivalanaomi.livejournal.com 2008-07-08 04:36 am (UTC)(link)
It will tickle the fancy of your inner English geek AND your inner History geek. CAN YOU HANDLE THE SKULLFUCKING INTENSITY OF OED'S POWER!?

OP here

(Anonymous) 2008-07-08 04:37 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I know, right? I admire him because he's a screwed up douchebag like I am, but he's had such huge success and done a lot of really great things, and not just because of luck, but because of effort.

Re: 129

(Anonymous) 2008-07-08 04:39 am (UTC)(link)
No. Wrong. You don't get to use "Okay" when you fucking started it.

Re: 153

[identity profile] obnoxdwfanbrat.livejournal.com 2008-07-08 04:40 am (UTC)(link)
It's amazing...

155 OP

(Anonymous) 2008-07-08 04:40 am (UTC)(link)
Wow, there have been so many negative reactions, especially from the, er, mainstream gay press, for lack of a better word, that I was really surprised to see a guy like him be relatively positive.

Also, I agree, if Pete were gay, those cock picks would have shown wood.

[identity profile] obnoxdwfanbrat.livejournal.com 2008-07-08 04:41 am (UTC)(link)
My point exactly.

144 OP

(Anonymous) 2008-07-08 04:44 am (UTC)(link)
-hugs- I hope you did too. ._.

Re: 129

[identity profile] obnoxdwfanbrat.livejournal.com 2008-07-08 04:44 am (UTC)(link)
Don't talk about skullfucking in front of the English major; it gives her disturbing ideas about Henry Jekyll.

155 OP

(Anonymous) 2008-07-08 04:44 am (UTC)(link)
I dunno, his penis?

No, really, I'd say his unstoppable entrepreneurial spirit, and how he recognizes that yeah, he is a douchebag asshole, like some of us are, but he's not going to let that stop him. I admire him without even getting into the queer-tease thing. Which, hell, I admire too, since it takes nutsack for a guy to do that. I wish more straight guys were cool enough to do that.

[identity profile] poisontea.livejournal.com 2008-07-08 04:45 am (UTC)(link)
101. I see no reason for this to be a secret. =3

102. The way I see it, part of the point for the game is that that trust or "unconditional love" IS for other people... but not ONLY for other people. Not just for other human beings, but for everyone. I don't see why Neku and everyone should have that unconditional love only for each other, and not Reapers (even when they were trying to kill them, it clearly showed some of the Reapers as more human- MOST of all 777, BJ, and Tenho) or whatever Joshua (AND Mr Hanekoma, don't forget!) are. I thought it was great that the game managed to incorperate all of that. And I don't really agree that having unconditional love and forgiveness for people or beings that are in a higher, more powerful position automatically turns it into something else instead and is a bad thing. And just... yeah. I never really thought about it the way you're describing it? Sorry it strikes you that way, though.

106. I will never, ever understand the amount of people who immediately jump on a character and rip them apart when they show flaws. That's... part of a story, right? It's characterization? Shows them being human, and that even humans can fuck up and be fucked up? Right? Sigh.

109. I don't see why you'd hate a show when you only see two episodes of it. Not like it, sure, but geez. It's a fun show, but especially if you didn't start it at the beginning, it's not gonna be the easiest thing to get into. I personally liked it because it had a hero who was sort of a dick without being a bad guy, and I loved the idea of a story starting off with "this is the main character, and he just died =D" Sure, maybe it's not your thing, but um... why getting all worked up?

Also, Itsuki is a guy, and if you look at a slightly better picture (http://i28.tinypic.com/2r6ptfb.jpg), he doesn't actually look very feminine. He just has long hair. =X

112. Holy shit, are "omg I get morals and ideals from fictional things!" the new "I'd hit it" secrets now? SERIOUSLY. GUYS. THIS IS NORMAL. THERE IS NOTHING WRONG WITH THIS. Holy crap.

133. ... I don't even know what this is REFERRING to and I love you a little for it. 8D ♥

137. Naww, don't do it. It'd be OOC, really, to have him thinking like that. He'd probably be traumatized. XD (Though it does explain his crush! I mean, besides her being adorable and sweet and etc. It's not uncommon for guys to crush on someone who reminds them of their mother, and vice versa, I think. Kyoko seems sharper than Nana though. >_>)

Also I lol at whoever said Ryohei is a lot like Tsuna's dad because OH GOD IT'S SO TRUE. XD

147. I kinda agree with this. Mostly it's just that... why do all these people seem to think the secrets posts and everyone involved are there solely for their own enjoyment and entertainment? If anything's being responded to, not everything is boring to everyone. :/

149. You... mock all people who like things and enjoy getting together, in one way or another, to discuss them and have fun? O RLY?

150. That's not being a weeaboo, that's being an immature otaku. SORRY THIS WORD JUST GETS USED SO MUCH sgklsjdhg. That said, just move past it. If they're story's good, ignore it. If it's not good, don't read it. Odds are it's something they'll grow out of anyway. I never did it that much myself, but I did sometimes, and I know I got past that stage.

Plus, even if they don't, um... They like doing it. They think it's cute. And they aren't hurting anyone. So it's not a big deal. At all. REMEMBER THIS PLZ.

154. HAHAHAHA ILU XD

157. OH FUCK YES. I fear how bad this might be, but if it's even decent, FUCK. YES. *A*

162. Hey hey hey there is NOTHING WRONG with those assless pants, OP. B| Or that ass-tight leather, uh

Re: 129

[identity profile] vivalanaomi.livejournal.com 2008-07-08 04:50 am (UTC)(link)
You're not the only one with disturbing ideas about Henry Jekyll. Utterson was kept up all night tossing and turning with images of Jekyll's room, "where his friend lay asleep, dreaming and smiling at his dreams; and then the door of that room would be opened, the curtains of the bed plucked apart, the sleeper recalled, and lo! there would stand by his side a figure to whom power was given, and even at that dead hour, he must rise and do its bidding."

Really, Utterson? And what kind of biddings are you dreaming Jekyll is undergoing, hmmm? Hmmmmmm?

101. I totally agree with you. WALL-E may be the most heartwrenching and lovely movie I have ever seen.

It was about the lamest thing on TV,
but I loved it. They battled the polluters.
