On Can(n)on, 109, and 128

Canon =/= Cannon

“Cannon” means what's not fannon (or heavy artillery, but I digress). “Canon” means a professional interpreter of the Bible or other religious document. [/nitpicky]

Hmm. Maybe we need canons for cannon. ([/bad pun][/*shot*-worthy])

109: That's actually my oldest “fandom,” but I'll be blunt: it's crap until the Sensui arc. I actually have only just gotten into it again (with the manga, this time) because I hit the “Dark Tournament” and went: “...oh god. No. Just... no.” for three years. I can't vouch for the rest of the fandom, but I got into it because of the demons. I'm an ancient mythology buff, and a lot of the information they have on ancient Japanese mythology is not only accurate but conveyed in the shonen plot, so it's not a snore-fest. Unfortunately, there's so much background information involved in understanding that, that the dub and official English manga seem to have let it drop... sadness. There are some good fan-subs and -scanlations out, though.

128: I can't read any of that... mind you, firefox has zoom, if I can figure out how to make it work without it zooming every page so it no longer fits in-window...
