Japan is definitely less caring about the student/teacher thing
Like, rereading some mainstream things now (like Fruits Basket) I'm surprised how big of a thing it was.
And in Naruto, I can only read KakaSaku BECAUSE he never really taught her stuff. So it's like a work-around of my squick.
