I'm not sure that I'm buying the "can't get medicaid if you're not pregnant" thing. I'm not doubting that they told you that, I'm just not sure that's entirely legal. What state are you in? If you can get health insurance, MS is actually fairly treatable these days. If you're not eligible for medicare or a low-cost state plan, you might need to start looking for a crappy job with a healthcare benefit.
