Without fail, I always come partway into the Shatner fortune-telling machine episode. One of the best evah!

111: I don't think they hate each other. Sure, they fight all the time, but they also seek each other out to do it. Especially lately. And when they fight, nothing else in the world registers, heh.

I'm biased of course, since they're my OTP, but I can make a rather good case for the ship.

140: I think the book was good, except for the epilogue and romance parts. I think she does friendship, adventure and suspense rather well.

147: I don't understand this way of thinking at all. I generally want to avoid letting idiots influence what I think or what I'm interested in.

151: James Spader is the only Daniel Jackson I'll recognise!

I don't see Monty Python as higher humor, more as an ecclectic ragbag of jokes and premises. Some of it is hysterical and some is just "Meh." Since it's a collaboration between 5 different guys, there's bound to be some hits and misses.

Life of Brian, however, is sublime satire and commentary. I like that movie better than Holy Grail. Every religion should have a Life of Brian poking fun at itself. It'd be way healthy for the soul.

117. I agree about Eccleston. I love Tennant, but I think Eccleston was more like the old series Doctors whilst still being an individual.

119. He's supposed to be insanely awesome. Also, some of the old series Doctors weren't quite like that. The First Doctor kidnapped his first two companions, the Fifth Doctor quite frequently failed so save people (*cough*Adric*cough*) and the seventh Doctor was... rather unpleasant at times, I believe.
...Okay, I'm a huge fangirl and I'm trying to defend him. So?

114. People wanting to slash Kakashi just b/c he's sexy and they wanna ship him?...Who'd have thought. (and for the record, I don't ship them either)

Gai/Kakashi is my OTP and that is probably why the Kakashi/Iruka annoys me so fucking much. I'm biased, but every time I meet someone who ships Kakashi with Iruka they can't explain it. And they can't explain why Gai is not suitable for him either. I am CERTAIN it is because he's not a regular bishônen and that saddens me :(

1. I love the Twilight Zone. I grew up with it. It terrified me, but it taught me many of the same lessons that you mentioned. It also taught me important lessons about plot and characterization.

140. No, I hated the last book. The fourth one is the last that maintained the spark that made me love the first book. Half of the time I forget that the fifth, sixth and seventh books are even out.

Eccleston will always be my doctor- and yes, I have watched some of the old series. When I watch Tennant I don't get any sense of history or power, just ADHD.

I haven't read the novella but even Aerith didn't respond to Zack, I don't think she didn't have any feelings for him. Besides, in the Advent Children, it looks like they reunited in the Lifestream and all.

Supposedly, Gosho's been quoted as saying that he'd like to do more Kid if/when he ever finishes with Conan.

Yeah, hoping there's a Kid arc coming up soon too.

I've read all of the manga, and all the movies and OVAs. But my dirty little secret in the fandom is that I haven't seen all the anime. I just watch the episodes that have my favourite characters in them or look kind of interesting. #^^#

-Have you seen the latest story arc with Shin'ichi? Evidently he's been Conan for about a year. WTF?!

The 'I want to meet you' line implies quite a bit more intimacy, but some of that appears to be lost when you translate it to English, y'know? I suppose it could be both, because she always was trying to help him--but she was also quite interested romantically as well.

It's not that she didn't have any feelings towards Zack--but rather grew out of her crush. She states explicitly in the novella that she loves Cloud much more than she had ever loved Zack, and rebuffs him when he flirts at her, basically telling him that someone who has been friendly with many women can never become a good lover. XD I'd feel bad for Zack, except he takes it in stride and seems to be doing the flirting thing more for old time's sake rather than seriousness.

The weird thing about the Lifestream though, is that Zack only woke up from the Lifestream when Aerith was remembering how Cloud walked and gestured--since those were the things Cloud had taken from Zack--Zack recognized the image and woke up--so the cameo at the end of AC was more to be there for Cloud after he finally lets go of his guilt, rather than to imply 'HAI THAR, I TOOK AERITH BACK, KTHXBAI'.

I haven't, but I've heard about it. And a -year-? IDK... Like, the cellphones and everything in the manga seem so up-to-date that you'd think it's been years since he was Conan. IDK, that's manga I guess.

I get upset when people complain about how Gosho is 'jumping the shark' or 'reusing old plot ideas' or 'causing the series to go down the drain by not doing any plot/character development' etc etc... Honestly, I think the series is great as it is, and I think he's doing fine keeping me entertained and developing the plot/characters at his own pace. :3 I love the little mini-arcs~

I'm going to be very sad when it ends too ;___; (even if I am eager to have Conan return to being Shinichi, but that's just my fangirl side talking)
