I'm a huuuuuuge fan of Aerith, but I ship Cloud + Tifa. Why? Because Aerith was only attracted to Cloud because of how much he resembled Zack. Tifa has much, much more history with Cloud and is seriously a better match for him.
Note that these were my beliefs loooong before Crisis Core came out.
I don't like it when FF7 fans get into dumb shipping wars between Cloud, Tifa and Aerith and completely forget that Zack ever existed. He was mentioned plenty in the original game, you know? It doesn't take a genius to realise that the SOLDIER Aerith dated, the SOLDIER whose parents in Gongaga hadn't heard from in five years, and the SOLDIER Sephiroth talks about at the North Crater were the same person.
Also Crisis Core is fucking awesome. Just thought i'd throw that out there.
