I try to refrain from ship bashing in all fandoms, but when some are just written so. Fucking. BADLY (see: Avatar, Harry Potter, etc.)--well, then I'm bashing the way things were written, which can easily be seen as ship-bashing. So you're not alone. D:
This is something rabid LT debaters seem to forget: Aerith and Tifa were friends. GOOD FRIENDS. They teased Cloud together! They had fun and giggled and had a great time while together--in fact, if Aerith had been in Nibelheim as a child, they (Cloud, Aerith and Tifa) probably all would have been best friends, and Cloud wouldn't have such painfully tender memories of being ignored by Tifa and her group. But then that'd take away from Cloud's struggle with his identity later, hence there goes a good chunk of the plot. Woe. D:
