Same here! I actually really only got into Conan because of Kaitou Kid--my friend's Chinese manga was literally the only exposure I needed to get addicted to it...

Ugh, I try to pretend that Viz's works don't exist for a while, as elitist as that sounds, their work in Konjiki no Gash bell makes me cry...hard. And I picked up A volume and kinda winced at the translations, so yeah, feel your pain for the most part, it's such a shame--Detective Conan is EPIC in Japan, why is it not so over here? *le sigh*
