People, please :D We have no idea what definition of "friend" OP is going by here. For all we know, "friend" could mean some casual social acquaintance, or even someone you met on the Internet and barely talk to, in which case incompatible tastes and (presumably) annoying overenthusiasm seem like perfectly legitimate reasons to part ways to me.
