Hey guys!

IT'S CONTEST TIME.

Design a layout for the comm, and whoever wins the majority vote gets their layout used. That's not all, though -- we're also offering prizes, too! In the form of LJ certificates from [livejournal.com profile] technophile, [livejournal.com profile] benightedfate, and [livejournal.com profile] peachymint (who has offered to pitch in, thanks!) once the contest is over. $25 for 1st place, $15 for 2nd, $10 for 3rd and $5 for a mods' choice that has nothing to do with which one gets used --

Not bad, right?

HAVE SOME RULES.

1. Layout must be worksafe.
2. Layout must work on all browsers.
3. Make sure the layout doesn't break depending on the size of the secret outside the cut.
4. Layout may for any level of LJ account.
5. Layout must be [livejournal.com profile] fandomsecrets-specific -- give us something original, not the thing you made five years ago for your layout community.
6. Layout will be chosen by popular vote.

To enter the contest, e-mail fandomsecrets[at]gmail[dot]com with your username, the coding for the layout, and a screenshot of your layout. Screenshot must NOT have any name or method of identification on it -- we'll be putting those up in the polls eventually so that everyone can look at and vote on them, and we'd rather it stay anonymous until after the winners have been decided (at which point they'll all be credited, of course).

Layout submissions for the contest end 11:59 PM, August 10th.

Go go go!

Bonus points to whoever uses the word DONGS in the layout.

Along with a screenshot of the final product, would you like maybe the test journal that goes with it? Not that it would have anything identifying with it, but if I participated, I'd make a test journal to make sure it, you know, works. And those are much easier to see than a screenshot, depending on the maker's resolution/screenshot.

Alright! At least that'll save you one step, maybe. Thank you~

...And one more question! Are multiple entries allowed, or are we limited to one per user?

Hm, I might have to give this a shot. I could really use some money right now, and I'm awesome at coding layouts and stuff.

Yeah, the current layout sucks.

Would "all browsers" be Internet Explorer, Firefox and Opera? There's lots of and lots of different browsers out there, some of them obscure.

Don't forget Safari.

What about an S2 layout that relies on an external stylesheet? Those seem to be the most reliable when it comes to working on "every browser" but I think they require paid accounts...

I wish I could make a decent layout/hadn't lost my photoshop.
But as a side note; I kind of like the current layout... :D
