Heh. I never watched the old show, so for me Michael Keaton was my first on-screen Batman (I'd read the comics, of course). Ever since then, every new actor in the role has inspired but one reaction in me: "Wrong chin!"

Disclaimer: I really enjoyed all the Potter books except the second one, about which I remain convinced that I probably would have rather gotten Ginny's story, and maybe Draco's, than Harry's for that school year.

Having said this, very much yes. Referring to the Potter books as "the gateway drug for Discworld" is sort of standard in the groups I hang out with.

She could be different now for all I know, but I don't talk to her anymore (for the sake of my blood pressure), so I have no idea. I didn't want to ruin her art for anyone else, since she is very talented, but someone posted a secret about her a couple of weeks ago and I can't even see her artwork without frothing at the mouth. It's really immature of me and it's far past time I got over it, but I just can't for some reason. Hence the secret.
