Clearly a minority opinion, but I have never, ever been able to understand the mindset of "OMGZ THE MORE TOTALLY FUCKED UP AND TWISTED AND UNHEALTHY IT IS, THE MORE AWESOME IT IS!!!1" Not to say that all ships should be conflict-free and happy sunshine and bunnies and froliking through the daisies all the time, 'cause that would just be boring. Give me a middle ground between the two any day. You can have angst and conflict in a ship without it necessarily being fucked up beyond belief.
