I can only stand to reread Mirror Dance about once a year... but I have never re-read Diplomatic Immunity at all, because, well. Like you said.
However: that's not the last book! LMB has signed a contract for a new Miles book (contents unknown), to come out sometime in the next year or two. So there's hope! :D
