10. I mainly write romance (hurrr), but I try to make my one-shots involve more than just fluff. They're pretty fluffy, but they have some substance to them. I personally like to explore "what character A needs from character B in this situation" or "what makes A and B attract" or "what would A do if this happened to B" etc. etc.
Although, I'm working on a comic right now that is romance, but most of it is very much non-fluff. In fact it's a psychological thriller dealing with obsession and trust, so romance can be applied in a bunch of different ways, not just pure, senseless fluff. But fluff is still good. :3
