I don't think I've ever told anyone as much, though. Just wondered what his reaction would be. (I'd be terrified to encounter Tolkien discovering Legolas fangirls and Merry/Pippin shippers. I mean, they're good for lols and all, but...well, actually, I always figured I'd be terrified of encountering Tolkien anyway, much as I love his stuff).
