See, my general problem with religion is mostly the "organized" part. Because, in theory, Christianity has a lot of good going for it. Y'know, that whole caring and loving vibe. Which I don't think anyone could say is a bad thing. But it's the some of the people who claim to be practicing Christianity that twist it epically out of proportion.
This has all be said before, I know. Wank aside, I wanted to bring up an interesting point/comment about the novel. As someone who's going into the field of Education, I've had a peek at the "recommmended reading lists" for students in various grades. And I've always found in interesting that Narnia is on there, but in a lot of places The Golden Compass has actually been banned from schools. Just some food for thought, I guess?
