How is not accepting that people like different things, and some of them happen to be more popular than others, not also shallow? Sure, there are tons of less well-known anime that are great and even more impressive than the popular shows. But the popular shows are often enough good too. Where people find the time to rant and rave about a billion different fandoms eludes me.
