No one's forcing you to join that comm, just so you know... and why are you surprised about the attitude there? Given that it's highly likely that this show is going to share a huge proportion of its fandom with Robin Hood, and the biggest Robin Hood LJ comm has a mod with a similar attitude which is largely approved of by its members, it seems fairly predictable that there would be similar rules and attitude in the first major Merlin comm to be set up. Frankly, I find the 'fuck off, screaming bratty fangirls' attitude in BOTH communities HUGELY refreshing and would be far LESS involved with both if they were any different.

Go and set up your own Merlin Comm where people can leave meaningless squee, moan about how the bad people are spoiling them after the episode has been out and available online for DONKEYS YEARS and endless, BORING AS HELL review posts about how important their opinions are all over the place so it takes HOURS to wade through it all to find icon, fic and discussion posts. I'm sure you'll be very happy there. Meanwhile, those of us who feel the need for a sane, sensible place to get on with enjoying and talking about our show in, will stick with what we've got, thanks.
