I'm staying away from the fandom and just kind of enjoying the show from a distance. I loved the books, and I'm curious to see how the adaptation plays out. But I really don't want to have to see all the Twilight fans screaming about how it "copies Twilight" because they're too retarded to know that it's based on a series that was out before Twilight was even thought up. And yes, I'm also afraid that they'll flock to it because OMG VAMPIRES!!! and some might like it and stick around and I don't want to see that :C I'm much happier being ignorant - because then I can still enjoy it for what it is.
