159. *twitch twitch* You know, I’ll agree that Twilight is bad. But don’t go dissing YA because of one crap-tastic series, or even three crap-tastic series. YA literature has a lot of good stuff, and most of my favorites are YA – like Artimes Fowl, Midnighters, Poison, the Chronicles of Narnia and really, more titles than I care to list. They’re aimed at a younger age group, so they’re not as complex as more ‘grown-up’ novels, but they’re also (usually) not as pretentious. I don’t like when people get snobby about their reading tastes, like the fact that they read ‘grown-up’ novels makes them so much better than the people who still read the YA stuff. It’s like being in Jr. High again, where the people who got to drink coffee were so much cooler and more mature than the people who didn’t, and dumb stuff like that.
