I’ve spent most of the day scrubbing dishes and counters and the kitchen floor and I’m nowhere near done. I thought I’d be digging over the front park strip and weeding to prep for my native plant delivery coming in Wednesday, but it’s been sunny all day instead of overcast, and I don’t want to overheat.

I’m a horrible slob, though, so the house needs all the cleaning I’m up for. I wish I could flip the “cleaning time” switch in my brain voluntarily instead of having one or two days a month during or right after my period when I wake up going “clean all the things!” before going back to the leaning tower of laundry style housekeeping for a month+.
