Definitely like the idea, because it gets ridiculous with, "why don't people love this series" secrets and you have no clue what they are talking about!
Another idea is when they post the secret, commenting there with the fandom and you guys adding it below the image ...but that is more work for you (probably makes for prettier secrets though XD).
For revealing identities, I guess people could guess already, but if there is a true fear they could mention it again when they post and the mods can decide if they go ahead and post it (under a miscellany tag?) or reject the secret.
