154. Yakipan was a far more obvious parody, is all. I found TTGL hilarious, but then I watch a lot of mecha anime.
156. I agree. I think I would have still found anime fandom without Toonami, but it would've happened years later. I doubt fandom would be as big today without it. It may not have the best way to get anime for most of its run, but it was the "gateway drug" for a lot of people. Watching that felt like losing a piece of my childhood...
N!S1: Uh, that's what I'm doing, genius. Doesn't mean I don't have the right to complain about how they said they'd redeem themselves and yet utterly failed.
N!S2: I don't think the story told is good, but I think there are some good stories in there. Carlisle's history, the Volturi's rise to power, a more indepth telling of Jasper's past... those would all be great stories in the hands of a talented author. Unfortunately...
tb2: I didn't mind the silly names because I remembered that this was a children's book and they were the ones who would have needed the "happily ever after" ending.
