The only thing I can think, re-reading it, is that the OP doesn't want the character to be female in case it causes or justifies (more) writing of Tieria with horrible female cliches? The whole "people will use it to justify writing this character as a girl" makes me think so, because as maddening as it is, when people say that about male characters they usually mean the character is being written as a sobby, sparkly uke who wants to wear pretty clothes and just be loved by the perfect man of their dreams.

At least, that's what I saw in Tsubasa fandom, so that's how I kinda automatically read it? XD; If that makes sense. So I think it's just the OP not wanting badficcers to be encouraged to write horrible OOCness?
