107. Welp, there is of course the arguments that no canon characters is a Sue because the technical meaning is a fancharacter who is written as flawless, and there's also the thing that Sue's are always loved by everyone in some way... which isn't EXACTLY true since Author never really develops a thing for Ahiru. I mean, there are arguments against that, and arguments for, but honestly? A protagonist character will almost always be written as a generally loveable character, it's just in their nature. I don't think it makes them Sue's that a protagonist succeeds most of the time, even when it may not be realistic to do so. And selfsacrificing being a Sue-trait... well, that there's tricky ground and I don't think Ahiru's brand of selflessness is that. Her selfsacrifice carries a point, whereas most Sue-sacrifices are just cheap ploys to garner sympathy for the character by dying as a solution to a problem that really does not call for death to solve.

In any case, there's a lot of traps, pitfalls and grey areas here, but I ultimately don't think Ahiru is a Sue. Sure, she has a lot of positive and endearing traits, but protagonists tend to HAVE those. It's a thing of theirs.

118. First time I'm even watching John Noble, but I have to admit that he's selling the show for me too. Him and the cow. I love that cow.

121. I recognize Nia, but not the ones to the left and right. Anyone else know who they are? Also, agreed. I don't love every male character that breaks the mold by not being forceful, musclebound and aggressive, just like I don't love every male character that sticks to the mold. Just because you're not like "everyone else", does not mean you are automatically interesting. It's the reasons for why a character or person is the way they are that's interesting to me.

132. C.C IS kind of a bitch, but a very loveable one.

156. That there is what we have fanfiction for. Although seriously, getting Loyd interested into anything that is not mecha? Not even Lelouch's sacrifice is powerful enough to make THAT happen.

n!s 2. I feel like I'm going to regret asking this, but who is "nuttymadam"?
