Even when I think something is done badly, that doesn't mean other people don't find value in it. Romance is especially subjective on this point, so I'd never try to say anyone was wrong for liking the couple for whatever reasons they chose. (Hell, it could be because their hair looks lovely together for all I care!)

Like I said in the beginning, I don't think Nia/Simon is emotionally resonant like a "good" romance is, but that's a private opinion. What matters in the end is that it works for you.
