I think it sucks that female gamers feel like they have to earn some kind of weird "street cred" by plodding through games they might not even like, just so that they're allowed to say "Hey, I like video games too." Guys who only play shooters don't have to put up with it. I don't know. My taste in video games is probably one of the weirdest things in the world to be self-conscious about, but I still find myself running down my list to be sure I've reached quota for western/non-RPGs I've played and liked. Wish it was easier to say "haters to the left" and play whatever the fuck I want.
