102: The first part of your secret is a common misconception people sometimes have of slash/yaoi fans. We actually don't ship characters just because they're male - we like the characters together because of personality, dynamic, or just plain old hotness. We also don't sexualise every relationship - a lot of people will have different ships, resulting in fic for every possible constellation in fandom.

117: Er... maybe you should try something outside the harem type anime? That niche isn't very respected even inside anime fandom you know.

143: I find this very common in U.S. shows. Sometimes the whole cast looks as if they've escaped from a wax museum.

170: It's sad that the strongest human virtues are almost only treated as worthwhile in things aimed for children. That's why I watch and read shounen anime and manga; even though the genre was originally aimed at boys between the ages of twelve and fifteen, IIRC, it's estimated that at least 60% of the readership of the biggest shounen magazine in Japan falls outside of that. People of all ages really love their epic friendships, self-sacrifice and nobility!
