I always thought the driving force of Time Traveler's Wife, when read critically, was the tragedy that is Claire's life and how she was never able to move on. And that that point can be made without screaming and foot-stamping raises its value, I think.

I find Twilight's treatment of the Edward/Bella relationship as ideal when there is a clear power imbalance and behavior that leans more toward the abusive to be far more damaging and disturbing than anything in the Henry/Claire relationship. And I do think TTW was much better written.
