Okay, wow, I know this may not have been your intent, but your wording makes it sound like you dislike anyone who learns Japanese. That's pretty terrible. I myself have struggled through University to get a bloody degree in the language, and I don't know anything about scanlations or manga - I translate classical Japanese for god's sake. As far as I'm concerned, the more people who learn Japanese the better, because learning other languages opens you up to cultural experience and stops you from seeing other people as the 'hot, exotic others', which is one of the things you also profess to hate.

But seriously, the way you've worded it sounds pretty offensive.
