Ohhh, this. Online, people really seem to get more aggressive about it and things turn into fights much more quickly and easily. Not that aggression is a bad thing -- it's effective for some people. But offline, people seem to do it a little less. I think they gauge their audience a bit better. I know that I'm actually much more likely to bring up these sorts of things offline because it's easier to convey my point. People can read my expressions and tell that I'm not angry or trying to be a bitch -- I'm just firm in what I believe. And it's easier to kind of drop a topic and be all "Well, let's just go get coffee, ya?" if you can see it's not going so well. Plus, there's fewer anonymous trolls offline ;D
