116. Wow, I could have written this exact same secret. D: I LOVE Escaflowne and I also tend to think I'll never write anything as good as it, and if I let myself think this enough then I stop writing for like weeks on end. What sometimes helps me get writing again is to think that the creators of Escaflowne probably don't see the anime in the same light as we do; they probably see all its flaws and all the things they wish they'd done better and they probably compare their own work to other anime that they consider to be brilliant. So one day you may well write something that means as much to someone as Escaflowne does to you, but you wouldn't even know it.

I don't know if that makes sense written out like that, but it helps me. :)
