I was doing okay, but then some homeless rando asked me an incoherent question when I was out on my nightly walk. I made a vague noise in answer and he changed direction to follow me, including back and forth across a road, against a light, and finally into a drugstore I headed to because it was nearby and open.
Texted my sick roommate to come get me while creepy dude lurched around and I gathered an armload of gardening stuff and went to the register. By then creep was blocking the door, swaying back and forth, and an employee asked him to leave.
I told the cashier I'd been followed in, bought my stuff, and got a ride home with sick roommate. Really don't need a cold right now, but at least she doesn't have covid and I was wearing a mask. And I owe her dinner for coming to my rescue when she's sick and full up with Nyquil.
Hope creeper doesn't show up at my work tomorrow; we have a lot of homeless regulars. Mostly they're nice and just hang out and read the paper, nap, or use the computers and bathroom, and I don't recognize this guy and his behavior today would've gotten him banned.
