Transcript: I read about antis on F!S for literally years before encountering any. I think it’s silly how people uwu Ed and Stede like they’re perfect and attribute everything bad (like Ed’s actual violent tendencies as a pirate) to Izzy. All the mains on OFMD need to grow and change – that’s the point!

It also seems really silly to get worked up and shipwar when it’s obvious what the endgame ship is! I don’t ship Izzy with Ed (or other characters)
because I think it’s healthy or because I want canon to go
that way. It’s just hot and they have fascinating character dynamics with limitless angst potential. I love a doomed co-dependent romance. I didn’t realize I had to defend a moral position to imagine two (or three >_>) attractive guys fucking. It doesn’t matter if it’s toxic because it’s not real.

Meanwhile the Izzy corner of fandom is having so much fun because we aren’t taking anything too seriously. The porn is immaculate.

S!B I am very live-and-let-live in fandom and never argue with anyone, but I actually hate that fandom has changed in this way. It’s like people don’t understand that this is supposed to be fun.
