I don't ever want to meet the book writers and tv actors I fangirl over. I think it would be freakish and surreal, more awkward than that first time you were in elementary school and saw one of your teachers at the grocery store. I wouldn't know what to say.
And if it was J.K. Rowling, it would be worse, because I'd either die on the spot or embarrass myself by not being able to stop myself from saying, "May I be your slave forever, and follow you home and bask in your presence until the end of time?"
I'm happy that I've gotten to meet a few of those people. It was a little nerve-wracking, but also wonderful. And I didn't embarrass myself (and them) like I thought I would.
I get hopelessly tongue-tied around celebrities I give a damn about. Problem is, I'm in training to work with celebrities...so there's actually a good chance of this happening.
