I wish there were more slash that actually took the time/effort to show how the apparently straight characters in canon end up sucking cock or whatever. Not that all the "they're just gay" stuff is bad, or all lazy (though plenty is, and plenty's just not my cuppa), I just think that that mental/emotional journey and how *that* character made that transition is a really neat part of it that gets skipped constantly. I don't need it to be all about the "oh noes I'm gay" angst, I just... IDK. I just feel like often they're skipping the interesting part that would make the smut even better.
