I have no issue with how the actor looked, but the behavior of the character in Season 3 left me cold.

I watched Once Upon A Time WAY longer than I should have because I thought Captain Hook in there was super hot, and I was rooting for him and Emma to have their happy ending.

Otherwise, I would have checked out by the time they put in goddamn Frozen in the show.

I genuinely love the Krakoa era, but this is one thing I do not like. It makes absolutely no sense - either as characterisation or intellectually - and it's just annoying and pointless. Oooh, science gone too far, ooh, good character feels he Must Do The Hard Choices, so dull and a real drag on a genuinely interesting character.

That would be amazing. I mean, at least point I would take a genre mass market paperback boom in any genre whatsoever. But one in horror would be super fun.

OP, have you tried The Long Ballad or Love Like The Galaxy? The heroines stay sparky right to the end (with a few ups and downs for plot).

I've been thinking about picking up Engage, but I heard it's just aggressively mediocre, which is a bit sad since I personally thought the previous entry was excellent. Engage is probably just another little rough patch for the series creatively.
