Ah that's because C-fandoms are very, very rigid about their top/bottom dynamics for a ship to the extent that even some western fans tend to fall in line with the status quo and woe betiede anyone who differs. It's very much like the anime m/m ships of yore that used to have the ship name showing who was topping and how much wank there was within the same shipper-base about which version was 'correct'.

I personally think it's silly to argue about in general since it very much a personal preference thing, like what you like, write what you want to write, etc. But some people can't and have to come up with 'reasons' why it's 'OOC' for X to top/bottom when really it's actually about personal tastes and there's nothing wrong with having a preference, just don't yell at other fans if they have a different one. But yanno, fandom, lol.

My sister, BIL, and I are going to be playing Lethal Company and Phasmophobia. We played it last weekend and really enjoyed it. It is going to be in the single digits here so probably won't be going on any walks.

It is boring, but I never care that much so I find it a bit amusing since the stakes are literally on the floor.

There's plenty of people who are down with them switching or LWJ being on bottom, but I've noticed that tends to be mostly western fans and/or fans who mostly play in the live-action version of things. As another anon in this thread noted, some cultures tend to view these things much more strictly.

Also, the author said that only LWJ was allowed to top, and a lot of them like to justify their preferences by saying they're being respectful to the author's wishes. Of course, the author also said WWX and LWJ weren't allowed to be intimate with other characters in fanworks, but somehow that wish is rarely mentioned, from what I've seen.

These are people who have not yet discovered that being disgusted is not a moral position. I'm disgusted by tofu, but I wouldn't say it was an evil food and people who eat it are evil. Yet for some reason, when someone is disgusted by emetophilia suddenly the people who write and read it are evil and something is wrong with them. No, it's just not to your taste, my child. Learn the difference.
