... but you wouldn't mind if someone else made them for you! As always, including the fandom and full character names is a big help, and while I'm definitely not the world's greatest expert at secret design, I'll try my best. Please note that secrets with lots of text are sometimes difficult to accommodate and I'll give it a shot but might not be able to make secrets where the text is so lengthy that I can't fit it into the limited space. Also, this is not the appropriate place to hold political debates or arguments about what is and is not fandom - those can go in the General Comments section as their own thread, no need to make it into a secret.

I'll monitor this thread until tomorrow's secret post goes up, so feel free to leave your comments until then!

P.S. Please don't worry if you've submitted a secret and it hasn't been posted yet. I usually post these threads before running out of the previous batch of secrets to get a head start on the next batch.

I'm the same way. The best part is the emotional payoff after all the yearning, and I'm less interested in whatever they do after that. Same reason I don’t usually actively ship canon pairings, even if I like them; there's really nothing I need fandom to do about them.

IA but I think a large part of this for me is a lot of media treats it as though when ships 'get together' it's like 'they're in love and committed forever and have accepted everything about each other, no need to develop this relationship any further.' They all just skip from 'interested' to 'ok, married now, moving on.'

Except some of the most interesting things about ship dynamics is people struggling with issues that come up, how people are in ships vs. how they were before, or figuring out what 'getting together' even means, etc. Those things don't suddenly end because you kissed once, but they sure seem to on TV.

Same, OP. Same. Unless they get together exactly how I imagine it or want it to happen, I usually get bored too or end up ignoring canon. (Or finding a non canon ship because the limitless possibilities are more fun)

SA Also: so many canon ships - especially the ones based and formed in dramatic tension type plots - should be the types where the 'will they or won't they' should continue on into the ship with 'will they or won't they stay together in this tenuous new thing?' but that usually never happens either.
