It may hurt to think that she'd have left without saying good-bye, but it's not necessarily the case that she died. Something in her life may have changed, and she may have decided to move on and start over.

I know how you feel. There was a fandom friend I had who wrote some of my very favorite fics of all time, but she took it all down in a fit of self-loathing and I haven’t seen hide or hair of her in, jeez, it’s been at least a decade. I hope she’s somehow okay…but I try not to think about it.

I really like this. I come from a hoarder family too and I definitely inhereted some of that. I try and purge as often as I can and it is so hard. People use the term hoarding so lightly but it is honestly such a huge mental health issue I constantly have to be vigilant about. I'm glad you've found something that works for you.

I've got a group backpacking trip this weekend and I am testing out some new gear, so am looking forward to that!
