I've never been into this fandom. Watched the original trilogy once and was entertained, but not interested enough to spend more time in that 'verse. With the rising popularity of May the Fourth events and festivities, I have started to actively hate all things Star Wars. This is MY BIRTHDAY, dammit! I resent sharing it with these nerds!

Secret because... it's just fans having fun. And a better association with the date than the Kent State Massacre.

I've always enjoyed the quotes I see from his books and the things I've seen make me think he was a pretty cool person, but I have tried several times with different books at different points in my life and I just cannot get into his writing. It is a shame, the community seems fun.

I thought it was solidly okay, which beat my expectations of a WoW movie would be. But it didn't do well enough to get sequels which is a shame because if they'd gotten to Arthas's story that would have been fucking neat. But alas.

The story certainly isn't for everyone given the many (earned) warnings. But tbh, the problems with the story are pretty symptomatic of stories for the entire genre. But I liked it, and I'm gonna continue liking it, and while that adaptation is probably fridged unless a lot of things change, I'm sure another one will come along.

lol! I was just talking about this today with a friend. We were saying some toddler/kids books are just bad, especially the rhyme scheme/word choice, and we can always think of a better choice they could have made. But then we go to try and write an original and realize yeah, it's a lot easier to edit someone elses stuff than to actually come up with it from scratch!
