With "grimdark" being itself a subset of "dark," if all you say is "I want recs for dark fic" and people rec grimdark shitworlds, they're not technically wrong...

Not OP, but I think of dark kind of like goth or creepy or dark themes in general, where grimdark is that taken up a notch and everything is dark and dreary and depressing and there is death everywhere.

OP there are many movies period that I'd rather just read a synopsis of. At this point I enjoy a good trailer and then go look up the synopsis and move on. I rarely watch an actual movie unless it's with friends or family or something, and that is very rare.

They're there, but Youtube's search engine is poop that keeps getting worse and worse.
The only way I've been finding the newer ones have been through the suggested videos shown up alongside a ship's video.
