I wonder where this girl draws the line. No fictional woman can be hot? No illustrated woman can be hot? No animated woman can be hot?

Or is it strictly video game characters that can’t be hot?

(Anonymous) 2025-05-18 09:17 pm (UTC)(link)
Lara Croft was created with the intent to be hot, if she can't see that then the issue is with her.

(Anonymous) 2025-05-18 09:19 pm (UTC)(link)
I find it hilarious that this person said that about Lara Croft, of all people.

An entire generation of gamebros went blind fapping to her triangle pixel tits, FFS.

(Anonymous) 2025-05-18 09:21 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah like even if you don't find her hot it's obvious she was meant to be hot.

But Lara Croft is hot...???

lol??? How old was she? Because now I'm wondering if she imagined the original PS1 polygon design or the reboot one.

I can see recoiling at balloon tits and bad video game graphics but it sounds like the woman you're talking about has no imagination at all and is super judgy of people who do. Bet she's totally fine with CGI even though it's just as fake.

(Anonymous) 2025-05-18 11:01 pm (UTC)(link)
I find the super judgy types usually have their own fair share of skeletons in the closet and thus have no room to talk.

(Anonymous) 2025-05-18 09:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Genuinely wondering WTF was wrong with that woman because I'm a woman and I will readily admit that Lara Croft is hot.

(Anonymous) 2025-05-18 09:51 pm (UTC)(link)
Not sure why I feel like I too have been shamed for calling her hot or whatever before

Man, Lara Croft's not even a weird choice. An extremely common choice, in fact. Even among "normies". I can see maybe thinking it a bit strange to be attracted to her 90s chunky polygon shape, but people did that nevertheless.

This sounds like a 'her' issue, not a 'normie' issue.

(Anonymous) 2025-05-18 11:04 pm (UTC)(link)
I can believe it if it happened in like 2005.

There's got to be more to this story. Lara Croft was literally designed to be hot, to the point where there were complaints about the movie because the actress who played Lara Croft "wasn't hot enough." (Before it was released. After it was released, there were other reasons to complain about it.) It's not like you're lusting after Wendy Koopa.

Either this person doesn't like you and would have reacted like that to anything you said, or there was something offensive about the joke or where/to whom it was made.

Lara Croft isn't even out there for 'normies', I think this person doesn't have much of an imagination.

Mm i would just kinda avoid this person in general. She seems judgy.

That strong of a reaction to someone finding a fictional character hot? Lol

(Anonymous) 2025-05-18 11:19 pm (UTC)(link)
Idk it's more the "waifu" that is a red flag for me. Though honestly, at this point the whole Lara Croft is a red flag because of the insane male fans I've had to interact with in that fandom/franchise over the years.

But either way, don't hide things and be weird about it, just own that shit! People can only make you feel weird if you let them. If you came back with a confident reply it would have shut her down. Because she is the weirdo in this situation.

That's SO weird to me. I mean if this was before the movies, esp back when it was just the early low-poly games, I can see a girl not getting the attraction, but even back when the first Tomb Raider came out, SO many boys thought Lara was hot, and people were open about it!

(Anonymous) 2025-05-18 11:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, I'm with everyone else. Either you're not telling the whole story or she's just really weird because that is *incredibly* normal. The only situation I can see making sense is she's just really unfamiliar with video games in general, has zero clue who Lara Croft is specifically, and is imagining some really pixel-y stick figure-looking character or something.

(Anonymous) 2025-05-19 12:21 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, there are some people with no imagination who think fictional characters can't be hot and only enjoy it when there's an actor to fap over. But they're they outliers.

I'm praying this girl was in her teens or early 20s at most because that is such a highschool thing to be disgusted by. I'm saying this as a youngster but most of the people I've seen over the age of 30 would either be like "good for you" or think its a bit odd but wouldn't care.

I see this a lot in the asexual community, this "I can't imagine thinking anyone is hot, but characters? Who aren't even real? Especially if they're not even live action? Off the charts weird! I realized I was ace when my friends started talking about wanting to bang anime characters!"

That really confused me when I was figuring out my aceness because I can ONLY imagine wanting to bang drawings and pixels. And sometimes do want to. And if they turned into a live action person I'd stop wanting to.

Laura Croft is indeed hot...and it's intentional. Like, having Angelina Jolie play her in the first live action film adaptation is the most obvious casting ever, one of the most gorgeous women in the world. Like...it's very overt that Laura Croft is meant to be hot.

I think that lady had her own qualms about it, and not a normie thing.

Anime and video game hotties have been mainstream for decades to the point that most normies would have the grace to simply know not to make things awkward by reacting negatively.

Jessica Rabbit is a sex symbol and she's a cartoon.
