I’m also a bit curious about what “people try to force it on me” means here.

I 100% get being frustrated that shipping/romance/sex are so dominant in fandom, but since I don’t have fandom friends, for me it just means blocking or scrolling past a lot of stuff.

It sounds like OP has people they actively interact with who are being aggressive and making unwanted comments to/at them. Having avoided this so far, I’d be interested to know where these conversations are happening.

Same question. I can easily imagine OP being the type to go into others spaces and demand they stop being gross and writing sex or generally talking negatively about/to all the shippers, and then being upset when people tell them to go away or get help.
