Do you have games on your phone?
(Anonymous) 2025-06-29 08:58 pm (UTC)(link)What games do you have, if any?

I love the puzzle games most, like the one where you have to turn the little squares or whatever to get the laser light to go through all the right other squares to light up all the spots. And no, I have no clue what it's called, I blank on that every time I think about it.

Framed: rearrange the comic panels to help your spy/detective protagonist get past obstacles and enemies
Gorogoa: similarly, rearranging and manipulating individual panels of an image (in sometimes tricky ways) to progress the story
Kotoro: bump your sphere into other spheres to change its color in various ways

(Anonymous) 2025-06-29 09:38 pm (UTC)(link)I couldn’t survive without games on my phone! And it’s better having a lot because they have energy cooldowns or ads or maybe they have a server issue, so it’s easier to switch games than just suffer through whatever issue pops up. Phone games launch rapidly and gameplay sessions are super short, so I can pass the time waiting in line at the grocery or sitting in the doctor’s office. If I had to use something like Steam Deck or Switch, I’d be waiting a long time before I could play and wouldn’t make much, if any, progress before I had to shut down.

(Anonymous) 2025-06-29 09:54 pm (UTC)(link)I’m jealous tbh. My brain is so noisy and a lot of that noise is not good. Passing idle time with phone games has been really good for me!

(Anonymous) 2025-06-29 10:07 pm (UTC)(link)Not that I think looking at your phone or playing games during downtime is a bad thing to do! It just turned into a bad thing for me and my overall mental health.

(Anonymous) 2025-06-29 10:11 pm (UTC)(link)I love that for you <3
It has been a bad thing for me at times. I had some games I got addicted to and I had to choose to delete them but wouldn’t do that for a long time. I have a much better balance now so I only play them during those “I cannot do anything else” times.

(Anonymous) 2025-06-29 10:56 pm (UTC)(link)I do however have my sudoku books always with me. Doing sudoku on paper is the only proper way of doing it for me. I'm a sad boring adult, too.
