I'm really into watching those chalk-eating videos. I do believe I have a form of pica and watching these videos actually makes me drool (and I usually can't stand any mukbang type videos). I even looked up where to buy the stuff but I won't because I know it's not healthy but daaaamn I want to.

Chalk. Eating? Like...just general old school chalkboard chalk? People are eating that? And it's enough of a trend that there are multiple chalk-eating videos?

Yeah, it's the crunchy sound that makes it popular asmr content. Some do eat school chalk but most eat those big natural chunks (there are a lot of different types as well). It's also mostly just chewing it and spitting it out off camera, though a few do swallow (or did - one of the most prominent people to do this stopped after getting major health problems).
And yeah, there are a lot of those videos - mostly by ladies from Eastern Europe because that's where most of the chalk and clay is sourced (Ural for example) and traditionally consumed in small amounts for health benefits (or used for cosmetics).

In the kindest way possible I say, that sounds absolutely insane. But I'm glad you're enjoying it!

It is lol, no worries. I kinda wish I didn't enjoy it because I know pica is an eating disorder and can be harmful but eh. I'm too cheap to buy the stuff anyway.

It's not harmful in smallish doses (that's what a calcium supplement is) but if you take other medications it can make them not work.

Yeah, I know, I actually think it might be beneficial for my heartburn in small doses. I just don't trust myself to stick to small doses.
