Tons of people are restarting their Animal Crossing islands with the announcement of the coming update. I don't blame them, but I could never do that. Not just because I don't want to lose my progress, but largely because I don't have the patience to do some of the more tedious chores again. I watched some people who have restarted and they're out there banging on rocks and chopping trees for wood and I am just noooot going to do that again, not until we get an entirely new game, anyway.

I’ve restarted mine twice over the years and wish I could just go back to the original. I hated my first restart so much I didn’t touch the game for like three years. I picked it up this summer and restarted again but stopped playing within a few days. My first island was perfect! Why did I ruin it?!!?

I'm really bothered by the way Disney has quietly shelved their Rey movie while people are clamoring for the Ben Solo film. If they end up greenlighting the Ben Solo movie, I'm going to be pissed, I don't want Star Wars to become the Kylo Ren show. But I'm not optimistic, I'm sure Disney's market research shows that consumers prefer male hero to female hero in scifi.

I hate it when something gets popular to the point that it's inescapable because people won't STFU about it. Like, I love The Office, but for awhile there you saw references to it everywhere and it even got on MY nerves. (It's still pretty common, but not quite as bad as it was.) Then when it's something that you don't like all that well, it's even worse, because here people are, shoving references to this stupid TV show/book/movie into EVERYTHING. I like Bob's Burgers but I'm starting to get tired of seeing Tina everywhere.

The new food is also great. The pate is much better since I don't have to chop it up every meal (I got the chunky kind and it was too big).
